I cannot live without DISH because there simply is no other acceptable way to
watch TV here.I tried cable TV 9 years ago, and found it to be such a rip-off for very
poor service that after only 2 months I had it taken out and DISH installed. I have never
been sorry and never looked back. I will never even consider cable again!

I never knew how good my DISH Network was, until last September when Hurricane
Ivan struck this area. Before the storm hit, I had planned on using my small generator
to provide power for a few appliances, lights, and one television. While the hurricane
was approaching us and located over a hundred miles away, we lost our power and we never
regained it for well over a week after the storm. Our friends on cable were without power
for days also, and many were without cable for several weeks. The word got out during that
time that we still had perfect television reception, and I am sure that DISH Network gained
several new customers because of it. After last year?s hurricane, we added our local
network affiliates to our program package. A couple of weeks ago, our area was hit by
Hurricane Dennis. This time again, we lost power well before the storm hit. This year
however, we were better off than last year because we had our local television stations
on our DISH Network to keep us informed of warnings and other important information
related to the approaching hurricane. I would never hesitate to recommend DISH Network
to anyone, whether they live in a rural area that is not served by cable, or even if they
live in a city area with the best cable money can buy.
